And just like that, it's Tuesday again!

It's the last day of March!  Wow!  What a month we've had!  I hope everyone is hanging in there and feeling okay!  We can only do as much as we can and yes, it is good enough!!

Tomorrow is the Currently post!  It's one of my favorite link ups!  I enjoy visiting all the other blogs.

April also starts the next month of the Instagram photo challenge.  I'm going to try again!

April starts the A to Z Blog Challenge.  I'll post my link up later.  I do it on a different blog.  I want this blog for my personal record and pictures and such!

This weekend was petting animals, doing laundry and taking Alli to work.  I watched a lot of shows.  I finished Tiger King. What a trip?!  I watched all of The Act in one day!  How flipping cray is that story?

I decided to get Disney+ and Hulu.  I got the $10 back for Rakuten and $5 back from Ibotta.
I haven't dove into Disney+ yet, but I have watched things on Hulu.  I ordered another FireStick for the front room.  I have one already, but my daughter uses it for her room.  I should have gotten more than one during Prime Day last year.  Haha.

All three cats!

Maggie being a cuddly bug.  She's almost 17 now!  She's my little old lady and I love her.

Taking Alli to work.  Alli in the backseat with the doggos.

We got McDonald's breakfast.  Let me tell you, Maggie loves McDonalds.

Draco and I going to pick up Alli from work.  He's a good lil boy.

I made a new recipe on Monday night.  It's honey garlic teriyaki chicken.  I made the sauce from scratch.  The chicken was so delicious.  Nothing was left over.

While I was helping Peyton with his school work I looked down and saw Freddie like this.  I had to get a pic.  I have no idea what he was doing.

Freddie after the nip.

Maggie enjoying her cat nip snacks!

Driving to work this morning.  This is downtown Kansas City.  The Federal Building is on the right and my building is on the left.  Absolutely no cars.

Is anyone else doing the A to Z Challenge for April?

What's Up, Weekend? AKA Fri-YAY! (11)

Happy Fri-yay!
It's raining here!  We had a big spring storm last night.  I enjoyed listening to it.
The fire alarm in my room started beeping too, so lots of extra noise all around.  I need to venture out to find a battery for it.  I might just turn to Amazon. I'm just not sure what I need to buy yet.  I'll check tonight.
It's calling for a windy Saturday and a sunny Sunday.  Maybe things will dry up enough where we can prune the rose bushes down.  One side of them is a little wild at the moment.

Last night, I made a Frito Pie of sorts.
I used crescent rolls, taco meat (ground beef with seasoning), fritos and cheddar cheese.
I made a design with crescent rolls, put the fritos in it and then added the meat and cheese.  I baked it for around 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
I caught up on a few more shows and cleaned up on the counter separating the kitchen and dining room (would that be considered a bar?)  I put more snacks out for the kids to eat.
I made a Tik Tok with two of the cats and the dog.  I can't stop laughing at it.  TikTok is hilarious and I love it.  It's making me smile right meow!
When I went to pick up Alli at work (it was 99 cent mozzarella sticks day) and we stocked up on them.
I asked Peyton to sort socks for me.  He sent me this picture. I looks like the doggo was helping.  He did do the black and white socks though, but there is still a lot to be done.

I was finally able to pick my RX on Wednesday.  It was backordered for a week.  They said they would automatically fill it for me that way it won't be late for next month.  I started taking them Thursday.  I was warned of the side effects and a friend told me what happened while her body adjusted and it was only a few days then she was okay.  I am hoping it only takes a few days for me too.  They are bad side effects, you just don't feel well why your body adjusts.  My friend also told me it helped her a ton.  Crossing fingers that it will help me too.

I don't have much else!  I am just wishing everyone a happy weekend!

Back to Work I go...

Hey there!  Day two was back at the office for me.  We are now closed to the public!  We have been over run with Food Stamp applications.  Yesterday when  I got to the office (8 am), we have 8700!  Bananas, right?  But we put the peddle to the metal and kicked ass.  The day went faster than I thought it would.  We are social distancing.  Our office is huge.  There are only eight of us and more than enough desks throughout the office space.  We are making sure each other gets up and walks and doesn't stare at the screens all day.

I put in my request for telework.  It will take two weeks or so to get things set up.

Alli is still working at Sonic, but they have shortened the store hours.

I got home and received my package from Grove.co.  I got the "limited time" scents of Rose and Lilac for the spring.  I had ordered some dish towels and a candle.

I made tostadas.  I put the chicken in the instapot with water and taco seasoning and set it to go.  While the chicken was instapotting, I watched some TV.  I caught up on The Resident and Survivor!  I am enjoying Survivor, but super shocked at the people who get voted out!!
I need to clean the front of the Instapot.  I spilled a little getting the chicken out.

So for the Tostadas, I put them on a baking sheet and put cheese on top.  Put them in the oven for around 7 minutes.  It was perfectly melted.  While that was melting, I shredded the chicken and squeezed lime on it and mixed it together.  I love lime.  Once the shells came out of the oven, I put some avocado on it, put shredded chicken and then put cotija and queso fresco crumbles on the top.  I did put some red sauce on top after the pic.  It was delicious.
After I ate, I cleaned up the dining room and took the trash out to the curb.  I cleaned the floors and sat and chilled for a bit.  I went to pick up Alli from work and I took the dogs with me.  Sometimes, it's easier to take them with than to have them get into everything in the house.  They are good boys, but sometimes they are super ornery.

Derby pics from the last game were posted.  Here are the two I was in.

After I picked up Alli, I took a bath and went to bed.  I couldn't sleep.  As per usual lately.  I was up until around 230.
Also, check out my creepster cats.  It's blurry, it was at like 130 in the morning.

. How was your day?

Yesterday was my Birthday!

Day One Stats

Rolls of Toilet Paper: 12
Number of Times the Dog Ran Away: 3
Birthdays: 1
Hours of TV/Netflix watched: 8

I was trying to Bridget Jone's thing.  Like the stats for her journal.  I might have watched that this past weekend.

Kansas City is on a "Stay at Home" order except for essential items and personnel.

I already had Tuesday off, because who wants to work on their birthday.

All I have to say is: I would have rather never woken up and just slept the day away.  It was not a good day.

That being said, I'm going to share some pictures from the weekend and some from Monday and Tuesday.

Buster has learned to lift the toilet lid up and drink from the toilet (despite three things of water throughout the house)

Peyton enjoying fajitas at my mom's house for my birthday dinner.

Tanner being Tanner.

Alli getting her plate of food.

The three kids lighting my birthday candles.

Fred being so darn cute on the rug.  Look at his widdle paws.
Picture is also out of order.

Me blowing out my candles.  There are so many of them.  We almost set off the fire alarm because they were trick candles (my favorite)

I woke up with the Kibben like this.

Look at these cuties!

Peyton getting his lunch and breakfast from the bus.

It's Fred again being cute.

10/10 do not recommend this bath bomb :(

What's Up, Weekend? AKA Happy Fri-YAY! (10)

Hey friends!  Happy Friday!  We made it through week one!

First off, thank you to everyone that continues blogging!  I need them!  I visit quite a few a day and enjoy reading all the things.

Have you ever done Postcrossing?  I know I’ve blogged about it a few times.  I received a Postcard from Russia this week.  If you haven’t tried it, visit Postcrossing.com and sign up!   Also, if anyone wants to exchange post cards or letters, let me know!   Send me your address via email: MorganCartwright@gmail.com and I will pop one in the mail for you!

Since my group fitness classes and derby has been canceled, I needed to figure out a way to keep active (and sane).  I found the Strong by Zumba DVD on Amazon and ordered it.  My Punches and Crunches class instructor is posting daily vids.  A lot of derby people are posting their workout plans.

The library did end up closing.  Completely understandable.  And the bookstore closed too!  I am glad I have lots of backlist books to read.

I'm passing my time by working overtime.  I figured I would get extra money for Disney.  I even calculated how many overtime hours I need to work to completely pay for it.  It's not until November, but might as well start now.

I found a cute new rug for my front room.

I am ordering this new TV Stand for my front room.  It will be my birthday present to myself. :)
I ordered my cleaning products from Grove.co this week.  I do their monthly subscription for the supplies anyway.  There was a note that they would be delayed a few more days than normal.  Again, understandable 100%.  I ordered their seasonal scents of lilac and rose.

I found a new doctor who actually listened to me.  We found out what is wrong and I had meds to start helping it sent to the pharmacy.

Weekend plans:
Movie night with friends - virtually
Working some OT
Taking Alli to and from work
Laundry
Birthday lunch with my family on Sunday (my birthday is actually Tuesday)

What are your plans?

Thursday: Social Distancing (well the best I can) Day 6

Whew!

Monday after work I headed up to Memorial Hall (my derby home) to pick up the fresh fruit that had already been purchased for the canceled game.  It was in the walk in cooler there.  I was just concerned with coming back in a month or two and there being rotten fruit.

Weird story time.  I parked right next to the south door and let myself in the door.  I have a key and a code for the alarm.  When I walked in the alarm was not set.  I thought it was odd, but it happens time to time.  I turned on a few lights and made my way upstairs to go back down to the storage area.  I was in the hallway by the concession stand when I heard beeping from the alarm.  So I turned around and headed back to the alarm to tell the person I was in the building.  No one was there, but the buttons were still being pressed and a message came up stating the south door alarm was turned on.  Well, crap.  I went outside, waited for the alarm to do it's cycle then went back in and unarmed the building and went to get the fruit out of the cooler.  WHO THE HECK SET THE ALARM ON ME!?!?! :)

I took the fruit to work.  We are all bringing goodies in because it's rough.  I'll write a full post later.  No one needs to read it, but I need to document my feelings on things.

They announced Tuesday that my children will be out of school until next year.  When they announced the closure, they announced that they would be busing lunches and breakfast options to the students during the closure.  I know this is a huge relief for some parents in the area.  This is big.  This is the first school district in the area that I've heard of doing this.  This keeps hourly persons employed within the school district: the food services workers, the bus drivers, people to help distribute the lunches, etc...

Speaking of food, I've done my entire meal plan until the end of the month.  Here are my plans:
16 - Pizza Hut
17 - Salad meal (one of those bagged ones with all the toppings/dressing)
18 - Gyros
19 - Beef Cheese Sandwiches
20 - Hot Dog Roll Arounds
21 - Instant Pot Garlic Chicken and Rice
22 - Birthday Dinner at Mom's
23 - Frito Pie
24 - Chipotle Delivery for my Birthday
25 - Ritzy Chix Casserole
26 - Pineapple, Lime, Chicken Tostadas
27 - Air Fryer Chicken and Onion Rings
28 - Mac and Cheese with Polish Kielbasa
29 - Teriyaki Stir Fry
30 - Air Fryer Grilled Cheese and Noodles
31 - Quesadillas of some kind

Drop a few in the comments, I need some for next month. :)

The kids have been chilling at my house.  They normally go to their Dad's on Tuesday nights, but he is a lineman for the utility company and they are running mock drills (just in case).

I've been working overtime.  Since everything else is canceled, I might as well make some monies to support future travel endeavors.  (Grand Canyon and Disneyland)  While working overtime, I watched the Dropkick Murphy's St Patrick's Day Show on Facebook live.  It was so good and a nice break.
The doggos got their Bark Box.  Buster is terrified of the Kangaroo.  It was a good laugh.  The box is so cute though.

I've put some TV show series DVDs on hold at the library, so I can go pick those up soon.  Thank goodness the library is staying open for check out only.  It's a little bit of normalcy.

How are you doing?

Let's Look: The Inside of My Purse

I know the link up was canceled, but I already had to post complete, so I'm going ahead with it. :)
Side note: I actually forgot my purse yesterday.  I never forget my purse.  I was too distracted.

I carry two bags daily!  My purse and then my bag with the rest of the things I think I need.

My big bag:
I have food items in plastic bags.  I like to keep it all separated until I eat, even my sandwich stuff.
Boursin is my absolute favorite cheese spread.  If you can't tell, I'm a Costco shopper. :)
I do Imperfect Produce, so I try to have a piece or two of fruit each day.
Here are the non-food items from the big bag.
I have two books, a notebook, magazines, calendar, my book from the Workshop two weeks ago and miscellaneous things.

My purse:

What's in your bag??
