Here are my ten...in no order...just ten songs that I've been listening to lately...
1. Meg Myers - Motel
I really like Meg Myers. She needs to come back to Kansas City. I missed her last time. Sad face.
2. The Lumineers - Ophelia
"Honey, I love you, that's all she wrote"
And I enjoy watching this video. Splashing in the puddles.
I love your face. <3 |
3 The Strumbellas - Spirits
I just want to be alive while I'm here
And I don't want to see another night
Lost inside a lonely life while I'm here"
Try to do your best to become a better person. Not just for the people around you, but for yourself.
4. Nothing but Thieves - Trip Switch
5. Elle King - America's Sweetheart
6. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Home
7. Zella Day - The Outlaw Josey Wales
"Union state Missouri outlaw"
In 1819, Missouri asked to be admitted to the Union as a slave state. During that time, the United States had 22 states, evenly divided among slave and free states. Missouri would disrupt that.
The Missouri Compromise was formed allowing Missouri to enter as a slave state and for Maine to enter as a free state and, ith the exception of Missouri, the rest of the Louisiana Purchase north of the 36°30' was to be free.
So technically once the Civil War started Missouri was confederate.
In the movie, The Outlaw Josey Wales, he was a confederate guerilla being hunted down by Union soldiers. In Missouri. Not a Union state.
(Do you see why I drive people nuts at work with my knowledge of just things? They also like to ask me over and over again why I'm working here. Guys, I have plans, don't worry about me)
8. Emiliana Torrini - White Rabbit
9. The Civil Wars - Baron Hollow
Well you just introduced a whole lot of music that I've never heard of! Time to dive in!!
