We have said we were going to visit this sign this they put it up.  They are taking it down Saturday, so it was now or never.
I'm glad we went.
Also, a lot of other people were there.
It's the thing to do.

Then someone tried to sneaky selfie me.
And then we ate Sonic, because it's the best.

I finally own an orange shirt.  Well, other than my
jersey.

This is a picture of the empty room.  It had been full.
I had been talking to the lights for the past 1.5 hours though.
Doing the Q & A was fun.

Happy Easter!

It started with snow.

Then a hiding dog...

Then a tick on the hiding dog which was super hard to get off of her...

Then a flat tire

That Tanner changed for me.

Two doves...

A pineapple decorated like a bunny...

World's Oldest Cat front runner scarfing down ham..

A child passed out after dinner and before the egg hunt...

Child waking up to find Easter Eggs...

A Scarlett loading up on eggs...

Someone isn't too old for Easter Eggs

Alli finding the orange eggs hidden among the cuties...

And a picture with all the kids.
This is my family.
This is how we work.

Birthday

I guess I could go on and on about what went wrong and what didn't happen, but I won't.
I'm tired and don't need to be reminded over and over.
So the good:
  • Alli got me flowers.  I didn't have to take her to get them, she found a ride.  She made me a card and had Peyton sign one for me.
  • Dinner with my mom and Sue.
  • Sarah called me around 10 and asked me to go have Birthday drinks.  I was out of the house so fast. I probably looked extremely pathetic.  But, I went and had birthday drinks, laughed at couples fighting at the bar and watched all the crazy KU people cheer loudly that they won.

#ameliaswish

Nikki, the one taking the picture, is my friend and Girl Scout Troop leader with me.
She texted me asking what we were doing for Girl Scouts.
I actually didn't have a plan yet.
She did.
See Amelia, a little girl who attends school where she works, has a wish.
A wish that made national news.
A wish that had people clean up their neighborhoods.
Nikki wanted to keep her wish going.
It was a great idea.
We cleaned up the outside area where we have our meetings.
We found a lot of stuff in our 30 minutes doing it.
One of the girls even walked away $20 richer.

Then, we made our own cotton candy.
That thing is pretty cool.

Only four girls showed up to the meeting.
I wouldn't have wanted to miss this one though.

Also, if you want to hear more about Amelia's Wish.  Just google it, there is a ton out there on it.

recipe: Bubble Pizza

Easiest Recipe Ever!
And it's super yummy!

All you need: Grands Biscuits, butter flaky layers
Can of Pizza Sauce
Cheese (I used mozzarella and cheddar/jack mix)
Pepperonis
and whatever else toppings.
I think sausage crumble would be excellent
in this.

Cut up biscuits into small pieces and put them
in the bottom of the casserole dish.

Put on pizza sauce, you might not use the whole can.
Top with your toppings.

Bake at 425 for around 20 minutes.

Keep checking on it.
Don't just check the top, make sure the biscuits are done too!

throwback Thursday: St. Patrick's Day

2015
Peyton and I went to the Sprint Center to have snowcones on St. Patrick's Day.
Oh, and WWE.

2012
This is the first time  I had ever attending the St. Patrick's Day parade in Kansas City.
It was kinda a pain from parking to finding somewhere to sit and enjoy the parade.
And the parade wasn't awesome.

The cat is still alive

Since I am always saying Jewel is the worlds oldest cat, I decided to Google to see how old the worlds oldest cat really was.

The World's Oldest Cat was named Crème Puff.  She was 38 years and 3 days old.
Jewel has a long way to go....

Maggie says hey.
Oldest cat in the world is still alive
And she's happy, and Tanners happy...
So is the baby with the broken elbow.

Easter Eggs

You are never too old to decorate Easter eggs.

We used real eggs and the fake eggs.

We had three different decorating kits.

All three of them worked.

The glitter was my favorite though.

We made a lot of glittery, golden, galaxy eggs.

The real eggs worked better with the color, they were more vibrate.

The fake eggs were easier to write things on.

It was just fun.

Happy Froggy Monday!

Someone in the elevators..."How are you loving this spring weather?"

It's not Spring yet, so I am really enjoying this Winter weather.

Chem-Is-Try

I finished my first class in my Master's Program last week.  It was a science class that integrated all the natural sciences.  Too much info crammed into one class.  But I passed and with a good score, so I don't have any room to complain.

On to my next class,  Chemistry.  I only have to take two of them.  Which I am extremely grateful for.  The rest of my classes concentrate on Biology and the science classroom.

I haven't taken a chemistry class since my sophomore year in high school.  It's been a long time.
I do remember my first day of chemistry class in high school.  The teacher did an experiment thing.  She sprayed some chemicals on a sheet of paper in which she had written with some other type of chemical and the message read "Chem-Is-Try".  So, I'm going to go with that.  I am going to try my best and I'm really not all that worried.

My first week in the class has been completed and my first lab is done.  Hopefully, I can keep the accelerated pace and finish the class in six weeks instead of ten.
First lab...
How in the world am I suppose to measure to 17 mL?!?
This is how exciting a Chemistry webinar is to Peyton.

No winning in the Bingo...

With derby, there are a lot of fundraisers.
We had a failed attempt at attending the Trivia Fundraiser.
The Bingo fundraiser, I did make it to and got to play in.
The cards were not nice to me.
They were not nice to Sissy.
We did not win a single thing and we were so dang close
so many times.
Isn't that how BINGO always works?
My Alli was babysitting her kiddos.
The electricity went off in their neighborhood, so they
came over to my house and played.
And had an awesome time...
MineCraft and Legos for the win.
