Hello Thursday, let's call you Friday Eve!

Hey there, friends!  The third day of October!  It's finally a little cooler and it's starting to feel like fall.  Yay!

Yesterday morning, one of my headlights went out.  Thank goodness, I know how to put another one in as I just had to replace the other side less than a month ago.  You literally have to take apart the whole front part of my car.  Since it's getting dark earlier, it was important to get this done ASAP! Well, I didn't get it done last night.  The woman at the Advanced Auto Parts wanted to mansplain me and complain about having to work.  I asked her kindly to just ring me up so I could get home before the downpour happened.  Well, the downpour happened and I didn't get my headlight fixed.  Since I had a missing light on my car, I couldn't attend something I wanted to last night.  It's okay though.  Hopefully, I can make it home tonight before the downpour of rain and get it fixed before Peyton's baseball game. (if it happens, because, you know, rain)
Alli has had Lil Leaders clinic this week.  The high school cheerleaders teach all the little kiddos a cheer and dance that they will perform at Fridays football game.  Alli always picks the littlest of the Lil Leaders to be in charge of. They have these super adorable pink shirts they are wearing, I told Alli she should wear the Paparazzi Pink lipstick as it would match perfectly.
Look who was in the window when we got home!   It was so dark I couldn't tell which cat it was and that's why I took the picture.  It's Freddie.
We tried a new dinner last night.  Pepperoni sliders.  I saw the idea, but didn't look at the recipe and made my own up.

I use Hawaiian rolls, pepperoni slices and shredded mozzarella cheese for the sandwiches.  I made a garlic butter spread to put on top. Then, I put on some shredded Parm Cheese. Baked them in a 350 degree oven for around 25 minutes and they were perfectly melted, crusty and delicious.  It made the whole house smell so good!
Yesterday was rough at work.  Our office is supposed to be staffed at 10, we are currently at 8.  Our office also has the most staff in the area, so we are constantly covering other counties (like today, I am covering a smaller county).  We had one person already covering a county yesterday, so that gave us 7 people.  We had one person call off completely, so we are at 6.  Then, we had another person keep calling in saying they were going to arrive later and later, so we had 5 people for the majority of the day.  We had two people up front and then three people in the back area assisting with the triaged people.  Our office receives a high amount of non-English speakers, my morning went like this: Swahili, Spanish, Vietnamese, English, Burmese, Kinyarwanda and Sudanese.  Interpreter calls are exhausting.  Thank goodness the afternoon got a little better, with our one additional person.  I guess I should thank her for showing up to work?
I signed up for the Busy Mom Book Swap! If you want to sign up, go to the Instagram link!  It's a fun swap and I haven't done it for a few months, so I'm ready to jump back in!  (I had a mildly bad experience and it turned me off of it for a minute.)

Here it is, our #busymamabookswap theme for October & one inspired by Autumn here in the U.K. ๐Ÿ So, what could Autumn adventures mean. I’m thinking cosy socks, warm drinks and all things that set you up for the perfect night in with a book! However - as normal - it is totally up to you and your partner how you interpret it! ๐Ÿ I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Have a read of the rules below (and check out my stories too!) and if you are up for a ‘Autumn Adventure!’ swap theme then just leave a comment with your country of residence in the comments. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’ฅ I will assign you a partner (who lives in the same country as you!) ๐Ÿ’ฅI will set up a group message between you and your partner on IG to introduce you which I will then leave. You then swap addresses & settle on a budget/expectations that you are both happy with. Share your likes and dislikes, maybe even book wish lists to help your partner create your package ๐Ÿ’ฅyou need to buy/gift your partner a selection of a book/s from their wish list(or surprise!) and some autumn themed treats. ๐Ÿ’ฅpackage up your book/s and treats as beautifully as you can... make the receiver feel really special! send the package by the 24th October PLEASE DO NOT MISS THIS DATE! ๐Ÿ’ฅon the 31st October it will be reveal day!! You mustn’t open your parcel until then (be strong- although you can tell you partner when you receive it etc). When you do open it you can post a picture with the #busymamabookswap tag so we can all see what you have got! ๐Ÿ’ฅthat’s it! Sign up closes Friday at 8am. ๐Ÿ *small disclaimer* I am a busy working mama with a gorgeous toddler to look after so although I am setting this up I am not taking responsibility for parcels going missing/arriving on time etc. and anything else that could go wrong! ๐Ÿ #booksonbooks #readinggoals #bookobbsessed #booksofinsta #booktime #readinginsta #igreads #readingchallenge #readingbooks #booksinbed #allthebooks #bookoftheday #booklove #bookworld #bookstagramit #booksmakemehappy #bookpost #bookmail #bookpile #nextread #bookclubmumma

I made my Daily Photo Challenge Post.  It was about what I am currently reading.  I am reading a Mary Kay Andrews book and GUESS WHO COMMENTED ON MY POST?!?  MARY KAY ANDREWS!!  How exciting. Yes, like I've admitted many times before, I am that dork!

Since my evening plans were messed up, I watched some shows.  Tuesday night, I had watched the episodes of  9-1-1.  Oh, this season is going to be good!  I watched Perfect Harmony (can't wait for the next one!), The Unicorn, The Resident, Superstore, New Amsterdam and Evil.  I still have a lot more to catch up on.  New Amsterdam is killing my heart.  It's so good.
Here are some pictures of my TV watching buddies.  I had two on me and one at my feet.  I'm sure if Buster wasn't in one of the kiddos rooms, he would be right there with us.

Are you digging the fall TV line up?  Am I missing something I should be watching?  I do have around six more shows on the DVR that I haven't watched yet.

  1. I'm behind on my TV watching too. How cool that Mary Kay Andrews commented on your post! I signed up for the swap too. I had signed up for the last round but somehow I didn't get the message where I was paired with a partner. I sure hope this time it works out!

  2. I love Hawaiian rolls but I am following keto right now so no carbs for me. TV is baseball playoffs and the beginning of hockey. Exciting that Mary Kay Andrews visited your post. Love those celebrity interactions. Happy World Smile Day.
