Currently (9)

It's time for Currently!  One of my favorite link ups hosted by Anne at in residence blog!

appreciating:  I am appreciating the fact that school is about to start.  It starts the week of Labor Day and it's been forever and we need that little routine back!

I appreciate that my daughter bought her first car!  She has her driver's test on September 18th and we are looking forward to it!  Both of us because it means I will not have to drive her to and from work anymore!

anticipating:  The start of school.  The blood drive I am coordinator of.  I just posted the link a few hours ago and we have a lot of donation spots filled already!  It's open to the public next week.  If you are in the Kansas City area and would like to donate blood, I will post the link on the blog and on my Instagram!  I hope to fill up all 43 available donor spots!

collecting:   I collect postcards!  I got one from Russia last week and it had the best cat stamp on it!  I, also, collect hurricane lamps.  They are on my mantle and I incorporate them into decorations.  Once I finish my fall stuff, I will post a picture of them.  I have a few more that I haven't put up, they are still tucked away in boxes.

starting:  I start Jury Duty on the 8th.  It's Federal, so I am 'on call' for a month.  I already received the call that I am to appear next week.  I hope I get an interesting and exciting case!  It will allow for a lot of reading time since no phones are allowed in the Courthouse!

finishing:  summer time!  And I am okay with that since it was a little bit of a bummer summer.  Next year will be better though!

  1. I hope you get a good case for Jury Duty! And I'm okay with summer ending. I loved being able to swim a lot, but Fall is my favorite.

    1. Same! I love Fall. We didn't get to do a lot of swimming this summer. The little we did was so much fun though.

  2. Jury Duty is kind of annoying with no phones allowed! What if someone needs you? lol.

    1. I need to set up a plan, since the kids will be home doing school work. I'm annoyed with it also, that was the one thing I was worried about.

  3. For your postcards are you on a website to swap postcards or how to you get them from certain places? I think a lot of us are over summer already!

    1. I use postcrossing.com
You sign up and then send out postcards, for every postcard that someone receives from you and tracks, you get a postcard back. I get a lot of them from Asia and Europe. I have it set up where I do not get them from the US. When I had it set up to include the US that was all I got. I would love to get some from South America!

  5. Same here for school - it's weird and a little anxious this year, but still so good to be back on a schedule! Also I love the idea of a postcard collection, how fun.
