How have the first three days of the year treated you?
New Years Day was spent with family. We started a new puzzle, ate a lunch of pesto chicken, salad, green beans and black eyed peas (for luck!). My mom spiced them up and they were delicious. Alli ended up hanging out with a friend afterwards, Peyton did for a while then came back home. I started a new book, updated my Goodreads goal for the year and posted some pics on Insta. It was a good day.
I had scheduled Thursday and Friday off of work. I wanted a few days off to refresh. Work has been a little rough lately. Not the actual work, but co-workers. It's all okay though. I'll keep on doing my best and they can do what they want.
I've been having terrible insomnia lately. I'm still able to get up and function as normal. Just on very little sleep. I even do what they say, I get up, do a few things, then head back to bed.
Thursday, I made biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Did loads and loads of laundry. Got the oil changed in my car. Started researching car emergency kit items and just normal car kit items. I found some bins that I would like to purchase for grocery hauling. (I do the Wal-mart pick up! Love it so much!) Meet up with a derby friend to devise calendars and budgets for the All-Stars team. Tried a new brewery in the Crossroads area. It's called the Rochester. All their brewing is in house. Went home, made grilled cheese sandwiches (which Peyton proclaimed to be the best in the world) and chilled out by reading and taking a long hot bath!
Now, we made it to Fri-YAY! I woke up at 5 am....to do a Crossfit class at 6 am. I've never done Crossfit before and was a little terrified. I did it with two friends. One is a regular crossfitter and she's the one that invited people. (like a group of 40 people!) and my friend, Dawna, who is like me, a new crossfit tryer! It was so much fun, but my arms are going to be mush! We introduced ourselves and we had to pick between being on the Kardashians or being on Survivor. I picked Survivor. It started with a warm up, then the workout, then a cool down. The work out was 3 weighted squats (lots of variations), 8 box push ups/dips swing through things and 12 burpees. Dawna and I modified the burpee amount. We both made it through 7 rounds! It wasn't even light out when we got finished!
I am visiting my friend about an hour away today! We are going out for lunch. I plan on finishing up laundry and cleaning a few things. Alli has to cheer tonight and I might do an outdoor skate. Still unsure of that one!
