Currently.... (1)

It's the first Wednesday of the month and of the year!  That means it is time to link up with Anne in Residence!
First off, Happy New Year!  I hope your day is spent however you want to spend it!  I will be venturing to my mom's house for our New Year's Day dinner!  I have the rest of the week off to enjoy!

Now, to the Currently:
resolving
My January goals post is going out tomorrow!  I have posted my 2020 Goals page. There isn't a lot on there, but they are all accomplish able.   I am resolving to do the photo challenge on Instagram.  I never seem to make it to the end!  I am going to really try though.

reading

I am going to be reading books from my Backlist (anything not published in 2020!).  I have so many!  I've  gotten behind in my reading.  I keep ordering and buying new books.  I joined the Beat the Backlist 2020 Challenge on the NovelKnight blog.  I signed up for the ever growing TBR list team.  I am going to try to do the reading BINGO!  There is a more challenging one with 80 squares on it!    Here is the start of my List!  I'm adding books I already have on my shelves.  I have two copies of Mind Games, if anyone wants my extra one, let me know and I will send it to you!  (see, that's how backlist I am when I accidentally order the same book twice!!)

cleaning
I guess I gotta clean up our Christmas decor.  I am just going to take down the tree.  I am leaving the Winter items on the mantel until Spring.  Because  I love it.
creating
I would love to create a bullet journal.  I've scouring Pinterest on ideas and how to do them!  Does anyone have a bullet journal they love?!  I found some great pens for it at Marshalls.  My daughter wants to have one also, I'll get her one for Valentine's Day!

planning
vacations and fun times for the upcoming year!
I am going to take my family to Disneyland in November!  Between the holidays, when they are setting up for Christmas, but it's a lot less crowded!  (also, my oldest wants to go too!!!)
I am planning a roadtrip to the Grand Canyon with lots of great stops in between!!
I would like to do a few small weekend trips to places close to us.
I've planned out our dinners for the whole month and a savings plan.  (I actually started this on Sunday)
I am planning to visit a friend that lives a little bit away from me now.  I am excited about that!  I think I'm going to bring her up some dinner and we can enjoy a movie or something *she just had surgery to replace her Achilles Tendon, so she's non-weight bearing on her foot and stuck at home a lot.

Here are some pictures from the last week to end the post!

This doggo was so excited for his gifts!  Alli opened them and he went crazy and was so happy!

Guys!  His favorite gift is a hockey stick ice scraper!!  Who would have thunk it?

Lion King Monopoly.  such fun!

  1. I had a bullet journal for a bit last year. Then I went back to just using my planner.

  2. Happy new year! Yay for Disney Land!
I don't see the point in bullet journaling?
The January picture is a photo challenge? There are some hard prompts on it, good luck, I'll be sure to check from time to time.

  3. Happy New Year to you, too! I want a hockey stick ice scraper. I just bought one for myself, but it's so ordinary!

  5. Love the reading bingo idea! I tried to jump on the bullet journal wagon a few summers ago and it didn't even last a month! Happy New Year!

  6. I love having a bullet journal to organize my daily and also longer term to-do lists... I got this inexpensive one and it's working great! https://amzn.to/36htXmc

Also love the idea of this backlist challenge. I decided I'm going to aim for at least 10 of my 2020 reads to be backlist. Got to tackle that pile on my shelf!

    Thanks for joining in :)

  7. It looks like you had a great holiday! It also sounds like you have some great trips ahead of you!

I am thinking of doing a book bullet journal but I am not sure how to set it up either. I will be doing some research on that soon! Happy New Year!

  8. I love having a bullet journal, even though I no longer use it to organize my schedule and tasks. I use it for long-term goals, lists and to write about my day. My favorite journal is the Rhodia goalbook.

  9. I have an entertainment bullet journal - I keep track of books read, monthly playlists, movies I see in theaters, etc. I want to do better with us this year though! And I'm trying to read more of my own books this years well.
