It's almost the Weekend! (13)

Happy Fri-YAY!  We've made it through another week!  I'm proud of us!
I've made a list of things I would like to get done this weekend.  Nothing too extraordinary, I just didn't want to forget anything.
I'm also adding things I have completed already to the list.

Thursday evening I came home.  I let the dogs out to play in the yard for a bit.  Buster found his bone and was extremely happy.  I went to go get the trashcans at the end of the easement and he usually follows me.  Not last night, he was content to lay in the grass and chew his bone.  I do have on my list to get gas for the lawn mower and mow the lawn tonight.  It's supposed to rain the rest of the weekend, so I want to get outdoor things done tonight.

I received a package from Amazon, it's my herb growing kit.  I haven't opened it up yet, my plan is to put it together this weekend.

I made Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes and a gravy for dinner.  It was yummy. The kids ate it right up.  It's one of those meals that everyone enjoys.

I watched Chicago Med.  Peyton and I sat down and did a lot of his school work.  We finished up his social studies class and his math class.  We did a science worksheet.  There are still a few things to tackle tonight and we have to redo a science assignment (apparently, we were supposed to use specific definitions, not the one from my geology textbook, opps).
On Saturday, we are going to do the Journalism and FACS work.  Otherwise, we are pretty caught up.
Alli has been working independently.  I told her to get her stuff caught up and we would review it Sunday and complete anything else to get done for the week.

Alli worked until around 830 pm.  We took Buster with us to pick her up.  He gets so excited when he sees her.  Peyton got a Dr. Pepper and Chocolate Shake.

I spoke with my mom yesterday.  We talked about how weird Easter will be.  She told me she had to put Cookie down.  She was a silly, happy dog.  She was half corgi, half lab.  She was 15 years old.  It makes me sad that my mom had to deal with this alone.  My son said she was the last OG dog.  All three dogs that my mom had when they were born, have all passed within the last two years, same with our Peanut, she died two years ago in March.  All of those babies had happy, long lives. I miss them all.

Alli works tonight (Friday) until 1015 pm. The plan is to have pizza for dinner and work on outdoor things.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
What are your plans?

  1. I need to break out my to-do list for the weekend as it is UPON us!! Could you please share the link to your herb growing kit? Or do a review when you bust that baby open? I am wanting to buy a little raised garden bed on wheels to use for herbs. And maybe a flower or two. My thumbs are neither one very green. So need something that is almost foolproof!

I didn't get it put together this weekend. It was on the list and I did not succeed. But I did do a ton of other stuff. :)
