My women's house team, the Shotgun Sheilas, gained five new members at draft. This is the most we have gotten since my first year. I've been on the team for six years, some of skaters have been on for eight years. We are a veteran, seasoned team in terms of roller derby.
I am excited for the new blood that we have and we can teach them all the things Sheilas and get that trophy back home. I am tired of second place.
Our new girls are: Mae Snap, Luckey Strikes (kinda new, was already a Sheila, just official now), Toucan Slam, Dynamite Dropin and Luna Sea.
It's going to be a fun year and I can't wait to see how it shapes up.
